This is not a typical “vibration” massagers, which feels great during the massage, but doesn’t really get deep into your muscles; this provides DEEP and INTENSE neck/shoulder massages. I had a really painful knot in my upper back; the intensity of this massage is about as strong as any shiatsu massage I’ve had and can border on painful, but I forced myself to use it once or twice a day for the recommended 10-minute sessions (which is plenty long, given how strong the massage is) and the knot is now *significantly* less painful. It really digs in and works stiff muscles. I couldn’t get that kind of result by using a vibrating massager for 10 hours!
